After went back from Taiping handling the softball tournament and the kids the husband decided to go back to his homeland, Taiping and I have to packed once again...We decided to stay at the hotel this time, instead of my in-laws house...I didn't know why but it was my husband's decision.
SSL Traders Hotel
Actually, my husband asked me to give a bad review about this hotel. We actually didn't booked any hotel before we went to Taiping. Our first pick was Sri Malaysia but it was fully booked. At the Lake Garden, I saw lots of banners of directions of this hotel, together with WIFI 'word'. This tempted my husband since he is a WIFI freak (and we did install it in our house). So we directed to the hotel.
The hotel is quite new. Still can smell the aroma of the woods and the concrete. The theme of this hotel is red, black and white. Through the theme, I assumed it is owned by a Chinese. The rate for Super Deluxe room is RM160 (the Deluxe rooms were not available). Since my husband were paying, I didn't mind the rate at all. But we have to wait for the room to be cleaned before we can enter. Same like First World Hotel @ Genting laa. Too many rooms and too many customer to enter sampai tak sempat nak kemas. And again, I didn't mind but my husband was. Membebel dia kat corridor. So that's why he asked me to give this review about the hotel.
But I like this hotel. Comfortable. The room is not too spacious but I accepted it. There's an LCD TV hanging on the wall. Free powerful WIFI and not so cold small refrigerator. My husband was complaining about the bathtub which there wasn't any. I'm not going for the tub as long as there is a hot shower.
Food
I'm a foodie, a person who makes a cult of food. We went to a char kuey teow stall near Kamunting at that night. I discovered this tall with CTK while we were on the game, last week. Lebih sedap dari Batu Kurau wa cakap lu...
The next morning there was a free breakfast at the hotel. The event I've been waiting for. I took the Singapore bihun, nasi lemak, two kinds of pudding and a mango drink. The puddings were so delicious. Sedap larrr....
After visiting the animals at the zoo I discovered a hawker selling fish sate. This fish sate can only be found in Kelantan. I asked the hawker where he came from. He said Kota Bharu. Sah...Actually it tastes like keropok but the gravy is different. Macam mana nak cakap ek??? Sedap lah apa lagik!
On the way back to Teluk Intan we bought a durian. Too expensive, RM24 (ikut kilo) for a fruit. but very tasty. Well, it's not durian season yet.
Zoo Taiping
I'm also animals lover. It took a long time for me to go to this zoo although Taiping is my husband's hometown. Ye lah, sampai rumah jer malas nak keluar. Kalau keluar pun pergi Doli. He's fond of kuey teow. We didn't walk all the way around the zoo, we rode on the mini train instead (train hape, macam bas ada laa). Malas nak jalan daa...
Count the birds
Lake Garden
I also love to take pictures. So these are pictures of Lake Garden. Boolehhh laa...
